Project 2:Vibrating Boundaries Progress

  1. This seems to be on a good start, but it could probably be stronger. The larger pattern should be smaller, it being so large takes away the vibrating edge effect. The shape itself isn't really working. It's too busy and takes away from the pattern within it. The idea of it not being a rectangle is great, just try a different shape maybe? The colors are working very well, I wouldn't change that!

  2. I like it , it's awesome the colors look nice as well but I feel like when I look at it I just see one shape with a color pattern I gues you could try to define the pattern itself more.

  3. I think the shape you chose for this is the aspect I enjoy the most - it's very dynamic and its sharp edge shape compliments the harsh, vibrating effect of the colors. So I would argue to keep it! The white background could be changed to another color to add even more vibrating edges, but the neutral white also helps the viewer focus on the actual point of this project so changing that is up to you! I agree that the shifting sizes of the pattern comes off as inconsistent than engaging - sticking to either the big pattern or the smaller pattern might be more cohesive. Also, the details of the little diamond shapes breaking off is a nice touch - it might not be integral to the vibrating edges working but it makes the composition more engaging/dynamic, as if it's moving.
